Day 6: The Greater Good

After reading today's passage, I can't help but started looking for ways I can help. I cannot delay any longer.

Not all are so blessed like us. It hurts God to see people in poverty. That was why He implemented the cancellation of debts after 7 years in the olden times. Sad to say, today, people are so concern with money, that what you lent out, you want it to be returned, & with interest!

I believe in a lending theory which goes like this: if you've decided to lend someone money, don't expect any returns. If you can't do so, don't lend.

There are many people who need a helping hand from us. But before you look abroad, look at Singapore alone. Many people are in need of help, just that we didn't know it. One that aches my heart is to see old people living alone, with no help. Thank God there are organisations with volunteers to help in delivering meals, cleaning up their houses, etc. We can play out part by volunteering (give some love), or giving financially (if we don't have the luxury of time). If there's a will, there's always a way.

Lord, would You please reveal how I can help, especially financially. I pray that out of this, You will be glorified. In Jesus' name. Amen.

On 8:26 pm, Cheryl lays it all at the feet of Jesus.
