He lives in us
It's been 3 months since the new year & sadly, this is my very first post in 2011. Nevertheless, I want to thank God for being gracious & merciful, always forgiving us for the sinful steps we take, However, we must bear in mind not to be complacent & not to take God's goodness for granted.Okay, back to the topic of this post. I watched The Lion King -- Musical last evening & I'm glad that my boyfriend & I found out that the story was influenced by Biblical stories of Moses & Joseph (especially Moses, I'd say), where Simba thought he caused his father's death & was told by his uncle to leave his home & never go back. Simba, like Moses, was caught in guilt & insecurity. At the turning point of the scene, this song captured me as I was reminded that our God, the Faithful One, always, always, lives in us:
He lives in you
He lives in me
He watches over
Everything we see
Into the water
Into the truth
In your reflection
He lives in you
Yes, our God, so holy, so mighty, that we're so unworthy of Him; this God lives in us & we bear His resemblance as we are created in His own image. He knew us before we are formed (see Jer. 1:5). I pray that all of us will be constantly reminded by how loving our God is to us, & forever be grateful such that our ways & actions will glorify Him. Amen.
