Amazing Grace, indeed!

Despite knowing that some things are good to us, we tend to take it for granted somehow. One such thing is God-given grace. I think all Christians know that God gives grace freely to us all because He, our Creator, loves His creation. But as I was reading today's devotion this morning, I can't help but am really grateful for this sweet reminder of how amazing God's grace for us all is:

1. "God's grace poured out in Christ is bestowed not of His surplus but out of His fullness, and not only on the ungrateful but on His enemies who are in active rebellion and hostility towards Him!"

2. "Grace is the outgoing energy of God that sustains and provides resources for Christians at every turn."

3. "Grace comes as a gift to our poverty, not a triumph of our resources. We come to receive grace with empty hands. God resists those who are self-sufficient, independent and proud, but 'gives grace to the humble' (1 Peter 5:5).

4. God's grace will restore, strengthen & establish us, & makes us firm and steadfast (1 Peter 5:10).

May God be glorified! Amen.
