Deciphering Psalm 23: part 2
I was doing my QT when the material opened my eyes to see God's all-encompassing love & care for me when He gave me this chapter for this season:1 The LORD is my shepherd (Jehovah Rohe--the Lord, the Good Shepherd), I shall not be in want (Jehovah Jireh--the Lord who provides).
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters (Jehovah Shalom--the Lord, who is peace),
3 he restores my soul (Jehovah Rophe--the Lord who heals). He guides me in paths of righteousness (Jehovah Tsidkenu--the Lord, our Righteousness) for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me (Jehovah Shammah--the Lord who is always there); your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies (Jehovah Nissi--the Lord, our Banner). You anoint my head with oil (Jehovah Qadesh--the Lord who santifies); my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Father I want to remember Your all-encompassing goodness. Things may seem out of my control but they are definitely in Your control. You are the Lord, in whom, I can trust. I love You, Daddy God!
