7 habits & the Bible

Habit 1: Be proactive -- But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine... (Lk 10:33-35)

Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind -- "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Lk 4:18-19)

Habit 3: Put first things first -- Jesus replied, "Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come." (Mk 1:38)

Habit 4: Think win-win --"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Rom 12:2)

Habit 5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood -- Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Lk 23:34a)

Habit 6: Synergise -- The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. (1 Cor 12:12)

Habit 7: Sharpen the saw -- "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'" (Matt 25:21)
