Why can't we love each other unconditionally?

It seems that God prepared me to understand unconditional love & His way of loving when He puts me through different issues.

This entry is about church politics, I'd call it, though I see it more as people don't agree with each other. Although I don't have a full, clear picture of the whole issue.

Some, or should I say quite a handful of, people started having disagreements with some church management stuff. It blew up, real big. Things got really out of hand, as I see it. Hurts & anger flew anyhow, anywhere.

I think other than the leadership board, nobody else knows the full matter. In fact, I don't blame the leadership for not explaining what when wrong, causing so many people to leave. Church members are not dumb. We see people leaving & of course, we question.

What makes me really disappointed was when an ex-church leader told me that God will punish the leaders severely, & that his joy will be full when he knows God punishes the wicked. It really grieves my heart. I believe God is grieving too. Who are we to take the role of God to judge others? All people are prone to mistakes & sins. Even prophets! We were told to love others as ourselves. Will we curse ourselves when we make a mistake, no matter how severe it is? NO! We won't!

We may be angry, upset, annoyed when someone who was supposed to be holier than us did something wrong. But, as mentioned, we are not gods! We're mere humans--flesh & blood, sinful by nature. Perhaps I don't see the clear picture as a third party, but we should adhere to God's teachings when He told us to love others as ourselves. If we judge, we will be judged likewise. An eye for an eye; reaping what you sowed. Truth will prevail eventually & yes, the wicked will be punished. But we are not to point fingers to say who should be punished.

Father, I pray for Your love to overflow in the hearts of the hurt. I pray we, Your children, will see things through Your eyes & have the same heartbeat as Yours. Guide us to be more like You each & everyday. May You turn all sorrow into joy. For Yours is the kingdom, the power & the glory, forever & ever. AMEN!

Guys, keep EVEYONE in prayers. Thanks & God bless!
