Days 18-20

Have no time to blog so I shall blog for the past 3 days' entries.

Day 18: Man of No Reputation
I agreed with the author that we are experiencing the curse pf respectability. We seek after people's respect for us. Not that it's not good, but this 'respectable self image has become our god.'

Jesus was different. He did not bother how others perceive of Him as His focus was on saving people for eternity, not for self-glory.

As children of God, let's seek to put Him first & let Him be our one & only God.

Day 19:Road Less Travelled
Another curse we're experiencing is the curse of conformity. We're seeking for approval & acceptance of others.

Then again, it is often the road of suffering that will lead us to eternal joy. We're free to choose our paths, but the consequence at the end of the road has been fixed, with the path we chose. So choose wisely.

Day 20: The Good Fight
I was singing 'Fight of Faith' while waiting for bus this morning. Then when I flipped to today's passage, I was surprised to see 'The Good Fight' as the title. It talked about the Amazing Grace guy, William Wilberforce--how he was transformed from a self-focused to an other-focused person. It was because of his determination that the British slave trade was abolished.

May God send more of His people into such system to 'set the captives free' & make sound decision.

On 10:58 pm, Cheryl lays it all at the feet of Jesus.
