Suffering for Being a Christian
1 Peter 4:12-13 (New International Version)
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
I'll have to say that this is absolutely true. In fact, it's a lot! God's purpose is not to torture us, but through the painful trials & sufferings, we are being moulded into more Christ-like. Form school work, family matters, relationship matter, self-growth.. I've experienced trials from all these, & I hope I've passed them. Currently I'm going through a time of testing. I know that God will sustain us through & that we'll learn & grow more into His image out of every situation, no matter what the outcome is. I pray that the same spirit dwells in you when you encounter hardships. All glory to the God Most High, my Adonai...
